Two suspected dealers of donkey meat have been apprehended in Benin City.
This came a week after four women were caught in the same act in market in Benin trying to sell the meat.
Bags of donkey meat recovered from the suspects who are from the eastern part of the country claimed they bought the large quantity of meats from Niger republic.
Commenting on the situation arrest of the suspects the Edo State butchers chairman, Mr Akhene Odigie said the task force will continue to monitor meat sellers in Edo state to check the unwholesome act.
The suspects have been handed over to police officers from new Benin police division.
