Muslims In Benin City pay Homage To Governor Godwin Obaseki On Eid-El-Fitri

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has congratulated the Muslim Community in Benin City on the occasion of Eid –El –Fitri celebration.

Kingsley Uchegbu reports that a delegation of Muslims led by the Chief Imam of Benin central mosque, Sheikh Abdulfatah Enabulele on a homage to the state Governor were received at Government House by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Phillip Shaibu .

Chief Imam, Benin central mosque, Sheikh Abdulfatah Enabulele in a remark tasked the government on addressing issues of herdsmen attacks, hate speeches, and protection of lives by bringing to book those engaged in destruction of lives and property under any guise.

The Chief Imam who said making Nigeria great requires contribution of all and sundry called for the passage of a bill by the State House of Assembly to prohibit open field grazing.

Congratulating the Muslims for the successful completion of the Ramadan, Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki represented by his deputy, Comrade Phillip Shaibu encouraged Muslims to take seriously the unity of the country.
The visit climaxed with prayers for speedy recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari and presentation of gifts to the Muslims by the governor.
