2 killed by armed robbers along Benin/Lagos Road by Okada

Two persons have been reportedly killed while another is seriously injured in an alleged armed robbery attack that took place on the Benin Lagos road between Ishuwa hills and Okada Junction, Edo State.

Aigboje Ikhuoria reports that the incident led to a protest by bus drivers who blocked the Benin Lagos Express Way at Okada Junction.

Travelers and motorists stranded in a traffic gridlock caused by alleged robbery attack on bus drivers and motorists along the Benin Lagos road by Okada junction.

Bus drivers and motorists were forced to park while passengers sat on the ground helplessly following the blockage of the road.

Blood stains littered the scene, some vehicles riddled with bullet holes while one of the victim allegedly shot dead by the armed robbers was still on the road.

According to eyewitnesses account the road was blocked by some luxury bus drivers who escape the early morning armed robbery attack to draw the attention of the state government and security agencies to the frequent armed robbery incidents in the area.

At the time of this report the road was still blocked by the luxury bus drivers while travelers were stranded.
