The school of post graduate studies exams and records, student Affairs Bursary Department and other administrative offices were under still lock.
ASUU Chairman, University of Benin Professor Julius Iyasere who confirmed that teaching has not commenced because the union received the directive to commence work late.
He assured that members of ASUU UNIBEN will be addressed on Tuesday.
Meanwhile the joint Action Committee comprising Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU and the National Association of Academic Technology, NAAT are yet to call off their strike.
The Unions according to the JAC Chairman, Onyeabor Nwabah the Unions are protesting against alleged problem of inadequate physical infrastructure.
For some of the students, the suspension of the strike by ASUU is heartwarming but however expressed reservation on the ongoing strike by the Non-Academic Staff.
It was learnt that ASUU has given the federal government till 30th of October to address all the issues raised.
