Acting Chief Imam Benin Central Mosque Urges Muslims to Keep Sacred New Month Of Islamic Calender

Muslims have been urged to keep the new Month of the Islamic calendar also known as Hijra sacred.

The Acting Chief Imam Benin Central Mosque Alhaji Ismaila Enabulele gave the admonition during today’s Jumat service.

In his message to the congregation the acting chief Imam Alhaji Ismaila Enabulele said as they join other Muslims all over the world to celebrate the new Islamic calendar also known as Hijra, Muslims should use the ninth and tenth day which signifies the freedom of the Israelites from Egypt to pray and fast in appreciation to almighty Allah.

Alhaji Enabulele reminded all Muslims to use the new month to give alms to the less privileged among them and embrace peace and love.
