African Unions Calls on AU to Intensify Efforts Towards Industrilizion of Africa

The African Union [AU] has been charged to intensify efforts in the development of energy sector toward the industrilisation of the continent.  
The call was made by the Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC) South African Congress of Trade Unions, COSATU and Trade Union Congress Of Ghana at the end of a three day Trilateral Conference of Labour Unions held in Abuja.
NLC president, comrade Abudul Waheed Umar said decent work through industrialisation is the way to eradicate poverty in African and Trade Union should be active participations in the political sphere with a view of continuous engagement of government in the area of infrastructure development
Also the president congress of South African Congress of Trade Union said that African leader should tap into the massive water in Africa and to generate power which is the key to industrilization.
The trilateral conference agreed that there should be a joint task teams to monitor progress on alternative development strategy, job creation and poverty eradication.
