The All Progressives Congress has set up a committee to investigate the disagreement that led to the emergence of factions in Kaduna State.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, who revealed this in a statement, said the decision was reached at the end of the APC National Working Committee meeting.
Reacting to the crisis, the national leadership noted that the unfolding situation in Kaduna State is deeply regrettable and asked all parties in the disagreement to maintain utmost decorum and give an opportunity for true reconciliation.
They added that this led to the setting up of the three-man committee led by the APC Deputy National Chairman, South, Mr Segun Oni.
The committee has been directed to embark on a fact-finding mission to Kaduna, with a view to identifying the remote and immediate causes of the disagreement.
It also has a responsibility to uncover the circumstance that led to the demolition of the house of Senator Hunkuyi.
The committee, which has the National Auditor, George Moghalu, and the National Woman Leader, Rahmatu Alliyu, as members, is to report back to the NWC within a week.
