The All Progressives Congress in Ward six, Ebelle, Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State has issued a statement suspending one of their members, Kenneth Ihensekhien over what they described as anti-party activities.
In a statement signed by six members of the executive, the party said Mr. Ihensekhien collected money to mobilize members of Ward six, Ebelle for the presidential and National Assembly election but diverted the money to mobilize the opposition party against the interest of APC.
The statement added that Mr. Ihensekhien after loosing his ward, openly celebrated the victory of the opposition to the disgust of APC members present.
The statement was signed by the Chairman, John Okoro, Secretary, G. Otoibhi, PRO, Ehiabhi Doris, Treasurer, Samuel Ejeyelia, Ex-officio member, Anne Aigberewon, Youth Leader, John Omonghopia and Leader, Patrick Okoyon.
Reacting to the suspension, Kenneth Ihensekhien said the purported suspension is an attempt by his detractors to drag his name in the mud, describing the allegation leveled against him as false.
Mr. Ihensekhien said he did not receive any amount of money from anybody during the presidential and National Assembly election, moreso diverting the money to work for the opposition.
He, however, pledged his loyalty and commitment to the growth and development of the party as he said he has no reason to work against the party.
