Benin: Some traders in Oba Market protest alleged imposition of N3m levy to offset electricity bill

Some traders in Oba market protested over alleged imposition of three thousand naira levy per shop by officials of Oredo Local Government to offset about six point seven million naira electricity bill owned by traders in the market to the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN now Benin Electricity Distribution Company.

The traders took their protest to Oredo Local Government and the palace of the Benin Monarch.
