Benin Traditional Council Condemns Installation Of Traditional Ruler In Edo South Outside Provision Of The Law

The Palace of the Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare the Second, Oba of Benin has warned against any one recognizing or installing a traditional ruler outside the provision of the Edo State Traditional Rulers and Chiefs Edict 1979.

The warning was handed down today at a press conference by the Benin Traditional Council in response to an advert congratulating one Godwin Oguyenbo on his coronation as Rere of Olodiama Kingdom in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
