Borno Bombing Death Toll Rises To 27

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has said that the death toll in Wednesday’s two suicide bombings, which targeted a mosque in a Borno village, has risen to twenty seven.

NEMA Northeast coordinator Mohammed Kanar the death toll rose from twenty four after three other victims died while receiving treatment at a local hospital.

Among the dead were the two bombers.

Two suicide bombers perpetrated the attacks at the mosque in Umarari village on the outskirts of Maiduguri, the state capital.

One of the attacks took place inside the local mosque. The second blast occurred a few minutes later, about 50 meters away. Terror group Boko Haram is suspected to be responsible for the attacks.
