Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria demands immediate withdrawal of sanctions on broadcast media stations

The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, BON has expressed sadness over the recent sanction on Africa Independent Television, AIT, Channels TV and Arise TV by the National Broadcasting Commission on Monday sighting unprofessional EndSars Broadcast.
 
A statement by the Chairman, Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, BON, Sa’a Ibrahim called on the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, to issue a formal query to each of the stations involved and give stipulated period to formally respond before taking action.
The BON Chairman requested that the sanctions on AIT, Channels TV and Arise TV be withdrawn immediately pending their formal responses by the stations.
 
The Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, BON appealed to NBC to be more flexible in its application of sanctions, especially in this crisis period.
 
BON reiterated its strong belief in democracy where citizens and entities are given fair hearing and justice, peace and unity are preached and practiced.
