A truck which got stuck on the side drain while trying to turn on Benin Sapele Road by Electricity Distribution Company this morning resulted to a chaotic traffic situation.
Wellington Akodeja reports that operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps and Edo State Traffic Management Agency had hectic time controlling traffic.
The gridlock occasioned by the truck which block one lane of the Benin-Sapele Road by the electricity distribution company extended to Santana Market.
Operatives of the FRSC and EDSTMA were on ground to ensure free-flow of traffic.
Edo State Commissioner of Transport, Isimeme Isiogbe was also on ground apparently to see to it that the truck causing the obstruction is quickly removed from the road.
Some motorists caught in the traffic web said the situation is causing great discomfort, especially as it will not make them meet up with their appointment.
Commenting on the situation, Edo State Commissioner of Transport, Isimeme Isiogbe and the Sapele Road Unit Commander of the FRSC, Ben Chukwu said arrangements have been made to remove the truck from the road.
Motorists on the route expect that the truck is urgently removed to save them the hardship of spending hours in the chaotic traffic.
