Chief of Air Staff visits formations in Delta State

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice-Marshal Mohammed Umar on arrival at Osubi Airstrip, Warri inspected a guard of honour mounted by officers and men of the Air Force.

Addressing Air Force officers and men, he said “my mission to Warri was to have an on the-spot assessment of Air Force facilities and identify constraints facing the command”.

Mr. Umar assured that no stone will be left unturned to achieve good result and ensure the safety of the air space.

The Air Vice-Marshal also paid courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Godwin Emiko to seek his royal blessing.

In another development, a combined team of police comprising Anti-terrorist Squad, Special Protection Unit in charge of Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Quick Respond Squad, Special Robbery Squad and other police divisions in Warri has carried out a show of force.

The Divisional Police Officer, Ekpan Division, Mr. Mamman Sale said “the show of force was in line with direction of Delta State Police Commissioner”.

Mr. Sale added that the exercise would be a continuous one.
