Court in Ilorin remands two herdsmen for alleged robbery

An Ilorin Magistrates’ Court has remanded two herdsmen, Abubarkar Mohammed and Mohammed Isha for allegedly robbing people on the Ilorin-Ogbomosho highway on August twenty-eight.

Police Prosecutor, Inspector Abdullahi Sanni told the court that the suspects were arrested, following information received from residents of Olorunsogo community along the highway.

He said investigation revealed that the accused persons were armed bandits, who have been terrorising people on the Ilorin-Ogbomosho road.

Inspector Sanni disclosed that the arrest of the two men led to the recovery of three motorcycles, five Nokia phones, one I-phone, one Sony camera, one HP laptop and jewelleries.

The Magistrate, Mrs. Aminat Shittu ordered that the suspects should be remanded at Mondala Prison in Ilorin and adjourned the case until September twenty-seven, 2018.
