Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission has declared candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), winners of the local government poll held on Saturday.
Reports say that the election was boycotted by opposition political parties in the state.
The Chairman of the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral commission, Chief John Nkwuda, who declared the results, said PDP won the chairmanship and counsellorship seats in all the thirteen local government areas of the state.
According to him, the APC had fielded candidate for the chairmanship seat of Ezza South Local Government while APGA had a candidate for councilor in Nsokara ward of the same council.
He described the elections as free and fair, devoid of violence and other forms of irregularities.
