Edo State House of Assembly has confirmed the six nominees for the position of managing Director and Directors for the Edo State information and communication technology agency.
Efosa Uwangue however reports that attempts to consider a petition credited to Iguosa community on the State of their road suffered a setback as the report was step down.
Confirming the six nominees for the position who are Yemi Keri managing director, Emmanuel Anabor, Omorodion Donald, Igbinowanhia Nath Abieyuwa, Abiona Keny Olawale and Omavie Saidu the majority leader Philip Shaibu said after screnning their credentials it was discovered that the nominees were qualified for the job.
The speaker Uyi Igbe summed up deliberation this way.
Also at plenary the issue of whether or not the Iguosa housing estate road has been completed took centre stage following the recommendation of the house committee on public petition and labour matter that the road has been completed.
However, the member representing Ovia North East Constituency 1 Sunday Osazemwede said contrary to the committee finding the road which was awarded by NDDC has not been completed.
This however generated some reaction, after much deliberation the chairman of the committee; Jude Ise-Idehen presented his view this way.
The speaker Uyi Igbe having listened to all the views of the member advised that the report should be stepped down for more information.
The house also scheduled the consideration of the bill relating to kidnapping to next week after the chairman of the committee in charge withdraw the earlier report for it to be amended.
