Edo State House of Assembly has expressed shock over the death of the Chairman of Esan West Local of Government Council, Harry Ihumudumu.
Intimating the House on the demise of the Honourable Ihumudumu, the Deputy Speaker, Festus Ebea said the death came to them as a surprise.
Although the case of the death according to him was still sketchy, there was need for the Late Chairman to be so honoured by observing a minute silence for him.
The Speaker, Uyi Igbe however oblige to the request.
Also at plenary, the House has slated consideration of the Amended Law 2009 concerning penalties against kidnappers in the state.
This was sequel to the presentation of the report made by the committee chairman in charge, Kingsley Ehigimusoe.
The Speaker, Uyi Igbe said the process of amending the Law became necessary to reflect the present security challenges in the state.
