EDHA Reviews 2017 Budget Following Letter From Governor Godwin Obaseki

Edo State House of Assembly today reviewed the 2017 budget and reduced it to about one hundred and twenty seven billion naira from the initial one hundred and fifty three billion naira.

Edo State House of Assembly today reviewed the 2017 budget and reduced it to about one hundred and twenty seven billion naira from the initial one hundred and fifty three billion naira.

Efosa Uwangue reports that the review was made following a letter from the state governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.
Moving the motion the majority leader Roland Asoro after the house relaxed  some rules said the essence of the budget review was because of the dwindling allocation from the federal government.

The motion which was seconded by the deputy speaker Victor Edoror said because of the economic recession there was need for the review.

The speaker Kabiru Adjoto said the budget review became necessary because the present administration of the state being a proactive one needs to be in tune with recent happenings.He said the sixth Assembly was more than ever before ready to synergies with the executive in abid to moving the state forward.                                  T
