Edo PDP calls on state govt to account for N30b allegedly borrowed to tackle flooding

Edo State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Dan Orbih has called on Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki to address the problem of flooding facing Edo people to ameliorate their suffering.

Best Mbiere reports that Chief Orbih stated this when he received a former Chairman of the Committee on War Against Indiscipline, David Babatunde Olukoga and his supporters into PDP.

Edo APC says money borrowed for flood control was well utilized

Meanwhile, Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Barrister Anselm Ojezua says the storm water project initiated by the past APC government was eighty percent completed before governor Obaseki took over, adding that the project has not been abandoned, even as the APC government has also addressed the problem of gully erosion.

Barrister Ojezua while reacting to allegations raised by the PDP said the APC government is working and Edo people are aware and that the PDP cannot deceive the people with their alleged unfounded claims.

On the issue of job creation, Barrister Ojezua said governor Obaseki promised two hundred thousand jobs for a period of four years and it is not up to two years that he has spent in office.
He said the on-going industrial park initiated by governor Obaseki when completed will create an opportunity for job creation in addition to those that have been employed by the present government.
