Edo PDP cautions govt not to divert relief materials earmarked for flood victims

The numerical strength of the Peoples Democratic Party has continued to experience astronomical increase across the country ahead of the 2019 general election.

Here in Edo State, the number has also increased, following the defection of the Spokesperson for former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, who also served as Commissioner for Information to the previous government, Prince Kassim Afegbua and his supporters into the fold of PDP.

Best Mbiere reports that the rally held at Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area, was attended by Edo State Chairman of PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, who received the defectors.

Edo APC Chairman debunks allegations by Prince Afegbua

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Barrister Anselm Ojezua says former Aide to Edo State Governor, Prince Kassim Afegbua is not factually accurate owing to the statement credited to him that the APC government neglected Okeplla in terms of infrastructural development.

Speaking with Best Mbiere via telephone, Barrister Ojezua said Prince Afegbua, who praised former Edo State Governor for his performance in delivering on his campaign promises cannot refute his remarks, particularly as he was one of the closest persons to the former governor.

On the call by the Edo State PDP Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih that Edo State Government should not divert relief materials earmarked for flood victims in Edo North and Edo Central and the IDP’s in Edo State, Barrister Ojezua said the PDP Chairman, who is standing trial for alleged corruption does not have the moral rights to accuse Edo State Government.
