Motorists and other road users plying the Upper Mission Road extension have expressed concern over the presence of a gully that is threatening to severe the road.
Upper Mission Road extension serves as a by-pass from Mission Road to Aduwawa area of Benin City. This all-important road is however under a threat of being severed as a gully is gradually taking over part of the road.
A visit to the area revealed that the gully is inching towards the middle of the road thereby narrowing part of the road.
Apart from the gully on the road, the stretch of road is riddled with port hole, a situation that has made driving a herculean task for motorists plying the road while some other unsuspecting drivers are swept into a ditch while trying to avoid the pot holes.
Although there are signs of remedial work on the gully area, motorists and other road users have however appealed to authorities in charge to give prompt attention to it before it becomes a death trap.
