Education Sector: House Wants More Institutions For Physically Challenged

The House of Representatives have has called on the federal government to establish more Tertiary Institutions with facilities for the physically challenged across the country.

Lawmakers in their submission to support a motion on the need for more institutions for the physically challenged lamented the inadequate number of such institutions despite the increasing number of persons with disabilities in the country.

Members in the green chambers also decried the increasing number of allotted undeveloped lands in the Federal Capital Territory, arguing that the number of undeveloped lands in the nation’s capital calls for drastic measures to ensure the allottees develop them

The motion was referred to the House Committee on Federal Capital Territory for further legislative input
