Ekiti Poll: INEC Assures Physically Challenged Persons Of Adequate Security

The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Attahiru Jega has assured the people of Ekiti State and the physical challenged of adequate security during the governorship election billed for tomorrow.
Professor Jega who briefed journalists on the update of the commission’s preparation said men and materials have since been deployed to that state.
He appealed to political parties who fielded candidates for the election to play by the rules of the game in order to ensure peaceful atmosphere during the election.
In a related development, the National Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has deployed over fifteen thousand personnel in addition to the deployment of one hundred and fifty Russian Dogs ahead of tomorrow`s Ekiti Governorship election.
The Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of Operations, Mr. Evans Ewurum has urged residents to be law abiding.
Correspondent Bala Alhassan in Ado-Ekiti reports that all entry points to the state have been closed.
The Corps also asked people that have no business with the election to vacate Ekiti state till after the election.
Movement in Ado-Ekiti and other parts of Ekiti has been banned from Six O’clock in the evening.
