The Esama of Benin, Sir ,Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion has been described as an individual that has contributed immensely to the preservation of the Benin culture and tradition internationally.
The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington made the description when he led other members of the consulate to visit the Esama on his eighty-third birthday celebration.
The American ambassador said the likes of the Esama is rare all over the world as he always give the Benin culture and tradition prominence in the scheme of things.
The Ambassador said the America government see the Esama as an enigma hence the relationship that has existed over the years with the house of Igbinedion is not a misplaced priority.
Also speaking the United states consular general said since they could not attend the birthday proper because some official engagement they felt since they were in Benin it would be the best time to visit a man they respect so much to wish well in all his endeavor.
Appreciating the United state delegation to his home the Esama of Benin and honorary Romanian consul to Edo and Delta state sir chief doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion said the gesture has further buttressed his view that the United states is a dependable allies.
The Esama of Benin thank them for acknowledging his contribution to the preservation of the Benin culture and tradition maintaining that he will always be proud any where in the world of being a Benin man.
