The Esama of Benin and Honourary Romanian Consul to Edo and Delta States, His Excellency, Sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion has sent a goodwill message to Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day.
In the Message, the Esama described Democracy as the universally acclaimed best form of government that always ensures that the interest of the citizens are adequately protected.
Sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion expressed joy at the unbroken nineteen years of democracy in the country and called on Nigerians to eschew any tendencies that can negatively affect democracy.
He harped on the need for Nigerians to contribute their quota towards upholding the tenets of Democracy by ensuring that they register as voters to enable them participate in all elections.
The Esama advised eligible citizens who are yet to collect their permanent voter cards from INEC to quickly do so to enable them participate actively in the Democracy process in the country.
Chief Igbinedion charged Nigerians to be patriotic at all times and dwell permanently on issues that can unite the country at all times
