The sterling leadership qualities of the Honorary Romanian Consul to Edo and Delta States and Esama of Benin, His Excellency, Sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion has received a boost with the conferment of the Prestigious Episcopal Award on him by the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Esan Land.
The quite town of Iruekpen in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State literally stood still when the Esama and his large entourage arrived the town for the award ceremony.
The ceremony which was also used to honour the Grand commander of the Knight of Saint Benedictine Order GCKB and Esama of Benin, sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion with the Episcopal award attracted an array of guests from far and wide, captains of industry, former governor, traditional rulers and members of the diplomatic corps who came to identify with the Esama on the auspicious occasion.
The car park at the church premises was full with fleet of assorted cars, some of which attracted onlookers.
The Esama of Benin fully dressed in knight regalia as a grand patron and Knight of saint Benedictine Order was honored with the Episcopal award of the Anglican Communion.
Responding, the Esama of Benin and Honourary Romania consul to Edo and delta States, His Excellency, sir, chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion sang praises to God and thanked the Anglican communion for the prestigious award.
Some prominent personalities who accompanied the Esama of Benin to the award ceremony described the award bestowed on the Esama as well deserved.
The guests described, sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion as a Lion of Africa whose fame of achievement has become legendary and prayed God to grant him more years ahead.
Some of the guests what graced the event include His Royal Highness, Ehiozojie Eluojerio, the Onojie of Igueben, HRH, Alhaji A.Y.E. Dirisu, the Okuokpellagbe of Okpella, HRH, Igwe Alexander Edozieuno, the traditional ruler of Agulerietu Kingdom, HRH First Igwe doctor Elias Nneli of Umegbe Anambra State who led at least nine other traditional rulers from the east.
Elder Omoruyi Oloton, Chairman, Uyi technical Company, Reverend Matthew Okpebholo, chairman Ray royal construction company, Elder Tes Sorae, Chairman, Tomline Nigeria Limited, Victor Enoghama, former commissioner for Transport, Charles Igbinedion and other children of the Esama, Ambassadors of Foreign countries amongst others.
