The Federal Government has directed the security agencies in the country to ensure that the March Nine Governorship and State Assembly elections are held under a safe and peaceful atmosphere.
Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazau, retired, however, commended the security agencies and the electorate on the peaceful conduct of the February twenty-three presidential and National Assembly elections.
He thanked security agencies for their professionalism and conduct before, during and after the presidential and National Assembly elections.
A statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Interior, Mr. Mohammed Manga says the Minister also applauded Nigerians for coming out en masse to exercise their civic responsibility, the outcome of which has been adjudged free, fair and credible.
He urged the security agencies to redouble their efforts, to ensure the safety of lives and property during the ninth March 2019 elections.
