Federal Govt. Declares 25th And 26th December Public Holidays

The Federal Government has declared Thursday 25th and Friday 26th December as public holidays to mark Christmas and Boxing Day Celebrations.

Similarly, Thursday, January 1, 2015 has been declared a public holiday to mark the New Year.

The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government enjoined all Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Christmas, which are love, peace, justice, kindness to their daily living and through this contribute to the development of the nation.

According to the statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji, Comrade Moro further urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country.
