The Federal Government’s special delegation, led by Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama on Wednesday departed Abuja for Tripoli, the Libyan Capital to evacuate Nigerians trapped in that country.
The Head, Press and Public Relations of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, Mr Josiah Emerole, made this known in a statement in Abuja.
Emerole explained that the facts finding mission on the level of the enslavement of Nigerians would be part of their engagements in Libya.
He said the delegation would also engage the Libyan Authorities, Nigerian officials and citizens living there and International Organisations working on migration issues in Libya.
President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the evacuation of all Nigerians trapped in the country back home while setting up a team led by the Foreign Affairs Minister to work out modalities for carrying out the mass evacuation of Nigerians still trapped in the North African Country.
