GLO CAF Award: Mikel battles Yaya, Drogba

Nigeria midfielder, John Obi Mikel has been selected among the final three shortlisted for the 2013 African Footballer of the year.
Confederation of Africa football (CAF) had announced that current footballer of the year Yaya Toure, Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel will battle for the biggest individual football prize on the continent.
Other Nigerians who will be going for awards in the Gala event are Sunday Mba in the African football of the year for players based in Africa, Steven Keshi in the Coach of the year category, Kelechi Iheanacho in the Most Promising Talent Category.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria in also contending for the National Team of the year among the national teams of Burkina Faso and Ethiopia.
The event will take place on ninth of January in Lagos.
