Govt set to rid its premises of abandoned vehicles

There are indications that vehicles towed by officials of Edo State Traffic Agency in Benin have been abandoned by the owner but the question is this, where will other vehicles towed by the agency be parked as the entire premises is littered with abandoned vehicles?

Commenting on the issue, the Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Victor Enoghama said his ministry is aware of the situation and necessary measures are being put in place to ensure that the premises is rid of such vehicles, he said “although abandoned vehicles are there, the most recent are vehicles which were parked indiscriminately by owners at night within the Kings Square axis of the metropolis”.

He added that compilation of vehicles serial numbers will soon commence after which the particulars will be sent to the police to verify if any of such vehicles has criminal indictment after which government will take full charge.

The commissioner further advices motorists to always obey traffic rules and regulations.
