House Of Igbinedion Holds Lavish Reception For Guests At Grand Daughter’s Traditional Marriage

The traditional marriage of Doctor Oghomwen Oyinkan Igbinedion, granddaughter of Esama of Benin and daughter of two time governor of Edo State, Chief Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion to Doctor Oluwafemi Issac Fakayode of Illale, Kwara State, was another moment for the House of Igbinedion to display the rich hospitality that they are known for, as the reception ceremony offered mouthwatering dishes and choice drinks for guests.

Pius Nsogho reports that different musical groups and several caterers were at strategic locations to ensure that all guests were adequately entertained.

The reception commenced with the bride and groom going round to appreciate friends and well-wishers who waited patiently for the indoor traditional rites to be concluded.

The Esama of Benin and Patriarch of the House of Igbinedion Sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion accompanied by some dignitaries who include a Benin based business Mogul Captain Hosa Okunbor, Chief Tom Ikhimi amongst other personalities also moved round to exchange pleasantries with different groups who were waiting outside, stopping at each band stand to acknowledge their performance.

There enough to eat and drink while different musicians and cultural troupes performed to the delight of all.

Cutting of the traditional marriage cake was done in a grand style as the couple took time to performed the all-important duty in sequence, thanked parents, friends and relatives while others watching in administration after which it was time to dance.

In an interview the Chairman Emeritus African Independent Television and Ray Power Fm, Chief Raymond Dokpesi described the marriage as a symbol of unity of the nation, the couple having come from two different regions of the country, while parents of the bride and groom expressed joy at the success of the event.

The Esama of Benion and Patriarch of the House of Igbinedion Sir, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion and Matriarch of the House of Igbinedion Lady Cherry Igbinedion said they were full of joy that their granddaughter found a man of her dream and prayed that God will blessed their union.

The bride Doctor Oghomwen Oyinkan Igbinedion and the groom Doctor Oluwafemi Isaac fakayode commented on their love for each other.

Captivating and splendid decorations gave the reception ceremony a unique and rare class of its kind.
