Following a report on the CNN about Africans especially nigerian migrants being auctioned in Libya while travelling to Italy in search of greener pastures, the house of representatives say there is need for the federal government to do all it takes to curb the menace of migration among Nigerian youths.

In their submission Wednesday at plenary Honorable Omosede Igbinedion and Honorable Saheed Fijabi said there is urgent need to investigate the inhuman and barbaric act of slave trade involving the auctioning of black Africans in Libya.

The house thereafter mandated its committees on human rights and foreign affairs to investigate the matter and report back within four weeks.
