IEC set to Observe Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Junior Day

This year’s annual observance of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Junior Day will take place on Saturday, 25th January, 2014 at the Founders Square of the school beginning from ten 0’clock in the morning.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer, Igbinedion Education Centre, Michael Edo Ogie says the life and times of the late Doctor Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa and global statesman will be revisited through drama and prose along with the lives of some great men and women whose lives remain a shining example to their fellow men and women.
The statement added that life-size stature of the late icon of anti-apartheid struggle will be unveiled and official inaugurated on the occasion by the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, His Excellency, Lulu Louis Aaron Mnguni who will be present at the ceremony as the special guest of honour.
It added that the Chairman of the occasion will be the Provost, College of Education, Ekiadolor, Professor Amen Uhunmwangho while the Guest Speaker will be Professor Richard Idubor, Professor of Law, University of Benin, His Lordship Right Reverend P:O.J. Imasuen, Bishop of Benin Anglican Communion will be the Guest of Honour.
The occasion will also be graced by neighbouring schools, members of the academic community in Edo State and dignitaries from the public and private sectors.
The founder and co-founder of the school, their Excellencies, Sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion and his wife, Lady Cherry, Deputy Chairman of the school will be on hand to host all guests at the ceremony.
