The management of Igbinedion University has postponed the resumption of academic activities earlier scheduled for Monday 18th January 2021.
A statement by the Registrar of the institution, F.B. Bakare, Esquire, says the decision was reached based on the latest directive from Edo State Government instructions that all schools, tertiary institutions inclusive, in the state to remain closed till first of February due to the increase in the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The University regrets the inconveniences caused to parents and students and promised to ensure the smooth completion of the academic session as earlier scheduled.
It said further update on the new date of resumption will be communicated soonest.
