President Goodluck Jonathan has re-stated his administrations determination to improve the power supply before the end of 2012.
He gave the assurance during a meeting with members of the Nigerian community in Trinidad and Tobago.
The President also promised Nigerians of his government’ resolve to fight corruption.
President Jonathan, who arrived in Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago on a two day official visit, is expected to attend the 2012 Emancipation Day celebration.
He is also expected to participate in the emancipation festivities, as well as pay a courtesy call on President George Richards and Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar where they would hold bilateral talks.
The President promised to harmonise issues of direct air link to Port of Spain, immigration problems and the socio-cultural relationship with the Trinidad and Tobago.
President Jonathan is expected to proceed to Jamaica to attend the celebration of the fiftieth independence anniversary of the country.
