INEC To Engage Air Force And Navy In 2015 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission said it would engage the services of Nigerian Air Force, Navy and other security agencies for adequate security during general elections in 2015.

The commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, in Taraba state, Mr Austin Okojie, disclosed this while addressing Batch B corps members at NYSC Orientation Camp in Jalingo.

Mr. Okojie explained that the move was necessary given the level of insecurity in the country.

He advised corpse members to be patriotic in the elections.

Mr Freeman Tumba, the State Coordinator of NYSC, commended the role of corpse members in the country’s electoral process so far.

He said corps members were the best set of Nigerians to bring credibility to the nation’s electoral process.
