INEC extends deadline for distribution of PVC in Ogun State

The Independent National Electoral Commission has extended deadline for the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards in Ogun State to Monday.

INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Sam Olumekun in a release said the extension was as a result of the hitches noticed in the exercise.

He appealed to the eligible voters in the State to be calm, assuring them that any voter whose name appears in the voter register but could not find his or her card should not panic; as their cards shall be provided in due course.

According to him, they should not re-register during the Continuous Voter Registration exercise scheduled for twelfth to seventeenth November, 2014 as this would amount to double registration.

Mr. Sam Olumekun assured the general public that all eligible citizens would be registered and issued valid voter cards before the 2015
election, the release stated.
