INEC release notification of election in Ondo State

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has released Notification of Election.
The state Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Doctor Rufus Akeju released the documents at the commission’s headquarters in Akure.
He noted that the notice of election has been pasted in all INEC offices across the eighteen local government areas of the state.
Dr. Akeju disclosed that the commission has also produced a booklet containing Operational guidelines for the conduct of the election in line with current reality of COVID 19 pandemic.
The REC said security agents for the conduct of the election would undergo special training.
Dr Akeju who revealed that INEC would be fair as an unbiased umpire, stressed that New voters will not be allowed to participate in the election as the continuous voters registration has been suspended.
Ondo State correspondent Jonah Omorowa reports that Eighteen political parties are expected to participate in the election.
