Independent National Electoral Commission says about two thousand and fifty-five persons have so far collected their Permanent Voters Card in the ongoing second quarter of the continuous voters registration exercise in Edo State.
Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner; Mr. Obo Effanga disclosed this while fielding questions from Independent Television and Radio Correspondent, Adesuwa Lato on the level of participation by residents in the State.
The Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Obo Effanga said the second quarter of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise afforded those who could not register in the previous exercises the opportunity to do so.
He said about twenty-three thousand persons have so far registered during the second quarter of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise and a total of Forty-one thousand were registered during the first quarter.
Mr. Effanga advised those who are yet to collect their permanent voter’s cards and those who are yet to register to do so.
At INEC registration centers in Ikpoba Okha, Oredo and Egor local government areas, the continuous voter registration exercise was going on smoothly.
The exercise is expected to last for ninety days.
