Jega Advises Staff To Be More Vigilant As The Commission Prepare for 2015 General Election

INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega has advised Resident Electoral Commissioners, RECs and staff to be more vigilant and cautious as the country prepares for the 2015 general elections.
Professor Jega gave the advice when he addressed the RECs and staff of the commission during the just concluded INEC retreat in Kaduna.
He urged management and staff to do their job with integrity, impartial and non-partisan manner.
The INEC Chairman observed that in reviewing the commission’s sundry programmes and plans to be implemented this year, it is evident that there will be gaps and urged participants at the retreat to ensure that those gaps are filled and that fundamental things that need to be done are implemented.
Professor Jega said the commission would ensure that competencies are improved and that those who have the capacity to deliver more efficiently are given the opportunity to do so.
