Mixed reactions trail visit of Nigerians to President Buhari in London

The recent visit of some Governors and APC Chieftains to President Buhari in London has started to attract reaction from some Benin City residents.

Pius Nsogho reports that while some described the visit as appropriate, others said it was a waste of resources and time.

The National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, Governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha and his Kaduna, Kogi and Nasarawa counterpart, Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amechi visited President Buhari at the Abuja House in London.

Some PDP Governors, Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State and David Umahi of Ebonyi state are also among the six governors selected to visit President Buhari.

Some respondents said their visit will put an end to the lingering controversy over president health.

Others however said rather than waste resources and engaged visits to London, the political leaders ought to sit back and organize the country and allow the president time to recover.

President Muhammadu Buhari left Nigeria for London on Sunday, May 7, 2017 to take care of his health, having earlier made a similar trip to London.
