Muslims Urged To Be Charitable

Muslims have been urged to render selfless service to their fellow humans and be charitable to the poor and needy. Muslims have been urged to render selfless service to their fellow humans and be charitable to the poor and needy. 
The Chief Imam Benin Central Mosque, Alhaji Abdul-Fatah Enabulele gave the advice at today’s Jumat service held in Benin City.

Alhaji Abdul-Fatah Enabulele said the two most important categories of charity are zakat which is an bligatory charity and Sadaqa which  is the voluntary charity. Alhaji Enabulele emphasized that the existence of countless starving, poor, hungry and destitute Muslims and non- Muslims in the world projects the need for Muslims to be charitable.

He enumerated the various ways in which a person can be charitable to include A smile to someone going through a tough situation, helping out with a project and wise counsel amongst others and emphasized  that charity should be given in prosperity or adversity, and having faith that a sincere act of giving can only bring abundant reward to the giver.
