National Security: Senate Grills Service Chiefs

In a bid to strengthen security apparatus of the country and put an end to series of killings the senate says it will fast track the passage of certain outstanding bills or protocols that would enhance national security.

The senate reached this decision after a closed door security briefing with service chiefs which lasted for over 3 hours.
National Assembly Correspondent Osaruonamen Ibizugbe reports that senate gave the security chiefs two weeks to present their budget on the area of special funding which it said will go a long way to address the security situation in the country.
