The National Commission for Museums and Monuments has recovered sixty stolen cultural artifacts from five foreign countries.
A statement from the office of the Director, Mr. Yusuf Usman says the commission recorded the feat through international cooperation and understanding
According to the statement, the commission repatriated the Nigerian Cultural objects from France, Canada, South Africa, U.S. and Switzerland.
The statement reveals that the commission has contributed to empowering people with gainful handicraft, arts and culture as a catalyst for the development of the society.
The Commission therefore, called on the media, security agencies, stakeholders and individuals to join the commission to fight against the theft of Nigeria artifacts.
