NHRC to investigate letter written by former President Obasanjo to President Jonathan

The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, has received the 18-page letter written by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to President Goodluck Jonathan for investigation of alleged human rights abuses raised in the said letter.
President Jonathan had said that he would forward the letter to the NHRC, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission, ICPC, and the security agencies to investigate the issues raised by the former President.
Reports have that the commission received the said directive from the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice for the probe of the allegations bothering on human rights violations as raises in the letter by the former President.
The President directed the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke, to forward the said letter to the commission for investigations into the alleged rights violations contained in the said former president Olusegun Obasanjo letter; the Attorney General of the Federation then directed the commission to probe same.
It would however be recalled that former president Obasanjo had written an 18-page open letter to Jonathan, alleging that Jonathan is incompetent, engaging in anti-party activities, encouraging ethnicism and that he is training about one thousand snipers ahead of the 2015 general elections.
Even though Jonathan had since written to refute the allegations, he had however, submitted himself to the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, for probe over criminal allegations against him by chief Obasanjo
