NIC sacks Odion Olaye as Edo NURTW chairman

The National Industrial Court sitting in Akure has sacked Chief Odion Olaye as Chairman, Edo State Branch of National Union of Road Transport Workers.

This was contained in a judgment delivered by Justice Oyewumi Oyejoju today in Akure the Ondo State Capital.

Leadership of Edo State chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers led by Chief Odion Olaye says it will appeal the judgement delivered today by the National Industrial Court, sitting in Akure, Ondo State.

A statement signed by his counsel N. P. Osifo Esquire said modalities have also been put in place to file stay of execution against the said judgment.

According to N P Osifo Esquire, who is a Solicitor to Chief Odion Olaye, this statement became necessary as a way of requesting all members of the NURTW in Edo State to remain calm, law abiding and peaceful as the union represent peace.

He urged members not to take laws into their hands as all issues will be resolved legally
