Nigeria football federation announces beneficiaries of COVID-19 relief fund

The Nigeria football federation has announced the beneficiaries of the Two Million Dollars COVID-19 relief fund received from the world governing football body, FIFA.

Among the beneficiaries are the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, the Supporters Club, as well as Mascots who were all captured in the breakdown of planned distribution of monies received by the Nigeria Football Federation.

The NFF Executive committee affirmed on Monday that FIFA sent one million dollars for restarting the football season, five hundred thousand dollars additional funds from FIFA dedicated to support women’s football, three hundred thousand dollars from CAF to support its Member Associations, while two hundred thousand dollars was received from Sponsors.

The NFF Executive Committee, outside the deliberation of important issues in Nigerian football, they also approved the breakdown of the planned disbursements.

The NFF through the President, Amaju Pinnick, weeks back, promised to make transparent the sharing formula of monies received.
