Nigerians Caution Against Continuous Open Letter by Ex-President

Politicians have been advised to always resolve their grievances amicably instead of resorting to writing open letters.

A cross section of FCT residents who spoke to ITV News Sunday were reacting to another letter written by former president Olusegun Obansanjo to PDP Chairman Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

In the latest letter, the ex-president threaten to finally quit PDP if the South West PDP Chairman, Buruji Kashamu was not sacked.

The respondents who spoke to ITV News called on chief Obansanjo to find an alternative means of settling internal crisis instead of overheating the polity with open letters.

They however charged politicians to put the interest of the nation above their political interest.

Obasanjo in another letter circulated at the weekend, cited the elevation of Chief Buruji Kashamu whom he called a wanted habitual criminal to regional PDP leader as his recent grudge.
